Many inshore, saltwater fish live in bays, bayous, and grass flats. Along the inter-coastal waterway, bull minnows, pin fish, ale-wives (LY’s), and white shrimp spawn and live in the grass flats. These bait fish and shrimp are natural forage for inshore species. They are commonly used as live bait for black drum, flounder, red fish, sheepshead, and speckled trout.
